ANZAC Commemoration and Cross Country

‚ÄčOur students participated in our school cross country and memorial for ANZAC day. We began the day at Yeronga Memorial Park Cenotaph to commemorate fallen soldiers who have served led by Mr Lomas and our Year 6 senior students.

It turned out to be a beautiful day with students participating in their cross country runs with enthusiasm. The cheering and support from under the tent showed great team work and collegiality. It was great to have our Prep students included this year for the first time also. Our senior students stepped up to the mark and led their houses as true leaders. Thank you to all of our parents who assisted on the day, and thanks to those who supported on the sidelines. These days take a lot of preparation and coordination, and I would like to thank to Mrs Katie Goodwin and Miss Amada Williamson for their organisation and leadership on the day. Congratulations to MacKillop house for winning the Cross Country shield and to McLaughlin house for the Spirit Award. Congratulations to all of our students for their participation, their resilience and their have a go attitudes!
