On Tuesday our Year 6 students, Mrs Lewis, Mr Lomas and I attended the official Brisbane Catholic Education Project Compassion launch at St Stephen’s Cathedral. It is a privilege for our school to be a member of the wider BCE community. We were one of the many Catholic schools represented at the opening.
Our Year 6 leaders celebrated liturgy, engaged in a pancake race, and also visited the St Stephen’s Chapel. I thank Paula Goodwin and Our Lady’s College for their continued support in assisting us with travel on the day. Our Year 6 students celebrated liturgy with Archbishop Mark Coleridge and then were treated to pancakes, the traditional dish to use up ingredients not allowed in Lent.
