Recently our school hosted a visit of delegates from the Lismore Catholic Education Diocese and representatives from Brisbane Catholic Education, including Director of the South, Mr Derek McLean. The group were visiting Brisbane Catholic Education to learn about the Excellent Learning and Teaching Strategy being implemented across our schools. Of the 149 schools in Brisbane Catholic Education, only two schools were selected to host the visitors, and we were one of them! The visitors mingled with staff over lunch before meeting with a few staff members to discuss the learning and teaching culture at Mary Immaculate. The visit finished with a school tour where the group looked at our contemporary learning spaces.
The visit was yet again an affirmation of the quality learning and teaching culture in our community. Our visitors were very impressed with what they heard, saw and felt and left with new ideas to take back to the Lismore Catholic Education Diocese. A special thank-you to our staff who participated in the visit at this busy time of the school year!
